They have a long hard road with a lot of land mines ahead of them. But I think not only do they have to win, but they have to win big, be consistant.
They have struggled a little bit the last two games, but then again they played two VERY GOOD teams. With Doucet returning I believe the passing game should get better. I also think the offensive line needs to do a better job of protecting the quarterback. The defense needs to bring more HEAT and get back to what they were doing earlier in the season. If they work this out they should be playing in the NC Game

I'm sorry 70 Chevy Man. We have something in common though...I'm a Chevy fan...I'm also a LSU Tiger fan, and I do believe any team in the country WOULD want to play us in the BCSC game, because they would want to lose only to the best. I hope some of you Tiger fans saw the replay of the UK debacle...they had to have a little help to beat us...most notably...the line judge...convenient calls against our O line for formations at a critical time, and NO holding calls against UK's O line. Let's be realistic...Does anyone really believe that UK's O line is talented enough to keep our front 4 out of the backfield without holding? No other team has. I'd like to see UK beat UF today, but I think it probably won't even be close. It's just a shame we will have to beat a team in Atlanta that we've already beat, but I guess it would've been the same if we had beat UK.

I think that if you ask most teams, "Who would you least like to face in the National Championship Game?" They would answer, "LSU".
I believe that most people think that LSU is the best team regardless of wins & losses. But, they have lost their "cushion" now and cannot afford to lose another game.

btw, Does anybody have a tougher schedule in the country than LSU?

They will make it if they win out. The rest of the schedule is still tough...Auburn is tough, Bama wont be easy because of the rivalry and hype, Ole Miss has a horrible string of losses but most were by 3 pts to SEC teams so you cant count them out, plus Arkansas as bad as they are they are far tougher than if a Big 10, Big12, or Pac10 team was scheduled instead. I hope LSU plays the "mighty" undefeated Suckeyes and for the second year prove that OSU belongs in Div 1AA.

**The tigers do play Louisiana Tech.....that should be perfect practice to prepare for a Big 10 team. LOL

I assure you if they don't lose they WILL play for the National Championship.

In fact, I'm sure they are already in line to be #2 and somehow jump #2 Boston College. However, LSU has a tough schedule ahead, the always troublesome team from Auburn and of course the SEC Championship game...which they must win in order to play in the big game.

WOW! da3rdxsacharm...that was probably about the gayest answer i have ever seen in my life! When somebody thinks championship team people thinks of LSU????? Yeah. An LSU fan would think that, but not any other fan! What made you think you can talk for the other people out there? I certainly don'think that.....

I believe their toughest game that they have left is the Auburn game tomorrow night at LSU at night. Other than that it will be the conference championship which by the way will be a tougher game than the National Championship game.

Sure. The fact that they will have played six teams that have had top 10 ranking, and beat five of them, dictates so. And they would be undefeated also if they played Ohio State's schedule.
