First you should ask the person your with.
Personally, If I told somebody that, It would be because at the most, I only though of them as friends. If you have been dating for three months then he/she might be trying to end the relationship.
Don't use the advise as the sole reason to flip out or anything, because everybody is different and your significant other might just be afraid to commit or something.

It either means - it is just three months since I love you and started repsecting you or it is not so far that he respects you and you should be getting married. It is either of these two.

It means that he wouldnt hurt you, respect is a big deal, it means he cares and eventually when you care you will fall in love or begin to love. enjoy it

To me when you love someone you have to respect him or her....but not the other way ....you can respect someone and don´t love him or her... so, no, it does not mean that love is around!

It means you are not his only option and he is keeping you around until he makes up his mind. Then again it might just be too soon for him to say those POWERFUL words and he is not sure. Unsure is what he is.

Respect does not equal love, does not guarantee love and only means respect. If he loved you, he'd say love. He may say it one day, he may not.
