Please purchase Maharashtra state road map booklet available at all the leading bus depots and stationery shops. Configure the route yourself. It's best way to do for yourself.
Incase you are planning to travel in your own/hired vehicle:
1. From Pune travel to connect the Mumbai- Goa highway. You can travel by Paud areas and Bhira onwards and you will connect the highway somewhere near Kolad on the Goa highway. From there travel ( Mangaon - Mahad - Poladpur - Khed - Chiplun ) till you reach Hathkhamba Naka. Leave the highway and travel on a road to Ganapatipule. You need to negotiate few tedious ghat sections on the way between Mahad and Hathkhamba. Be cautious. Currently the surrounding areas are lush green so you can enjoy the landscape. Several options for etables on the way so don't worry about hunger pangs.
