if you melt a pile of crayons in a plastic bowl (microwave) while the crayon wax is still melted insert a thread or candle stick thing (dont know what they are called) and you have your very own home-made candle. you can also melt the crayons in the microwave, let them cool... and you have one huge crayon with a rainbow of colors!!! :) ..my dogs eats mine...but I dont think thats quite healthy...:)

1. peel the wrappers off the crayons, put similar colors together (or you can mix colors if you want to) in muffin tins (mini tins are great too) with paper or foil liners and melt the crayons. you can do this in the oven at 250degrees for 10 minutes or just put it out in the sun if where you live you get goo hot sun. then voila, you have new crayons, in an interesting shape with cool color combos!

2. crayon candles, here is a website:

3. you can grate crayons (on a cheese grater or in a food processor), sprinkle them on a sheet of wax paper (thinly sprinkle) lay another sheet on top and iron with low temp iron, the crayon melts and creates a really cool pic. be sure to leave a fair amount of wax paper around the crayon shavings as they will spread when melted.

have fun!
