rhetorical question- a question that does not require a answer

Most of the time, people would know it was rhetorical and not answer, but sometimes you come across the odd person who does not recognise a question as being rhetorical, and answer it seriously.

I once answered a question on Answers, and added an rhetorical question at the end, and got reported for it. So Here's a tip... try not to put in rhetorical questions in your answers. I appealed but to no avail.

Try it. That's my answer to this question. By using the word rhetorical in your question does not make it a rhetorical question in the context that you have used it in.
My guess is yes, most people will answer anything 'cos it's free points (Yippee).

The fact that you had to explain what rhetorical means should give you the answer.

try it, and you will see. They would probably because you wouldn't ask unless you wanted an answer, or would you?
