Please help me... The first day of my period was 08/10/07 and I started clomid on day 3-7. When should I expect to ovulate? Would it be around now?

I bought my Clomid so I can't ask my doctor.

Clomid Fertility Medication to Treat Infertility and Ovulation Induction

Clomid Basics: Clomid is a commonly prescribed oral fertility drug. It also is known as clomiphene citrate, CC and additionally marketed under other trade names including Serophene. It can be used to treat polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), anovulation and other menstrual irregularities.

How it Works: Clomid influences the regulation of four hormones required for ovulation: GnRH, FSH, LH and estradiol. While we do not completely understand how this drug works, it appears that Clomid fools the body into believing that the estrogen level is low. This altered feedback information causes the hypothalamus (an area of the brain) to make and release more GnRH which in turn causes the pituitary gland to make and release more FSH and LH. More FSH and more LH should result in the release of one or more mature eggs - ovulation.

How Hormones Control Your Menstrual Cycle

Prescribing Information: When used for ovulation induction, Clomid is taken orally for approximately five days early in the menstrual cycle. Depending upon your clinic protocol, this may start as early as day 3 or as late as day 5. It is important to remember that the first day of the menstrual cycle is the first day of normal bleeding, not spotting. Most women begin with an initial dose of one tablet (50 mg.) per day. This dose may be increased by your physician in subsequent cycles if pregnancy does not occur.

Pregnancy Concerns: Once ovulating, most pregnancies occur in the first 6 cycles of treatment. Clomid is said to induce ovulation in approximately 75 percent of the women who use it, though only half of those will actually become pregnant. Most sources agree that continuing for more than 6 ovulatory cycles is not likely to increase the chances of success.

Clomid Side Effects : Reported adverse effects include ovarian enlargement (13.6 percent), vasomotor flushing (10 to 20 percent), abdominal or pelvic discomfort, distention or bloating (5.5 percent), nausea and vomiting (2.2 percent), breast discomfort (2.1 percent), visual symptoms -- including blurred vision, lights, floaters, waves, unspecified visual complaints, photophobia, diplopia, scotoma, etc. -- (1.5 percent), headache (1.3 percent) and abnormal uterine bleeding, such as intermenstrual spotting and menorrhagia (1.3 percent).

Clomid Side Effects
Multiple Births : About 5 to 10 percent of births when taking Clomid are twin births. Triplets and other higher order multiples are much more rare.

The Magic # Day of Ovulation is day 14
Do it Day 13 too!!!
Good Luck, I wish you the best.
My Doc put me on Clomid Days 3-7 & Estrogen Days 8-12

But next time I suggest you ask your Doctor what you need in terms of Clomid because other Docs who don't have the knowledge you need will keep increasing your dose when its not needed.

Have sex every other day. Some women ovulate as early as day 10 and as late as day 25 on clomid. Whether you use OPKs or not, just have sex like you are always ovulating.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/8znQp
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.
