I've never looked tanned. I always burn but not as bad as my brother ... hee hee hee. I lived for those days when he got badly sunburnt; I'd slap him on the back and he'd be in too much agony to kill me.

Hey, I never claimed I was nice.

I have english rose skin and always end up looking like a lobster.
I've learnt to embrace my paleness and lol at you and your sibling.

Well...I don't have a choice...lol
I think the trick to not getting burned is to keep out of the full sun...Especially around mid-day or when the sun is at it's strongest.
Another tip...Don't use sun-tan lotions, use sun-block. This will ensure that the sun doesn't penetrate your skin to cause burning but you will still go brown. I use sun-block when I go home because I have osteoarthritis and need to stop the sun from getting to my bones. I always still catch the rays and come back blacker than when I went....lol

Cancer? Pish! I like a tan, but I don't put chip oil on me and lie there for 2 weeks. Just walking around and taking in the sights builds up a nice colour for me, and there is no way I'm going to hide in the shade with a hat and factor 5000000 sun-block.

Factor 6 will do me!

No, I don't tan. I burn. I've been to places like Cyprus and to the United States (Nevada and Arizona) and I have to wear factor 60 suncream just to survive. (besides, if a nuke goes off I'd be fine too thanks to the factor 60!)

Honestly I've never been into the tanned look, on myself or the girls I find attractive. Pale girls have a special beauty about them that can't be beat.

I love to be tanned, but I burn first and then the tan will last years... And I hate it when people tell you off for liking a tan, they say it'll kill you from cancer and all that rubbish when people haven't exactly died off from skin cancer after all these millions of years! My father in law had skin cancer for nearly fifteen years before he went to the doctor about it and he's just fine!

Yes but I have never burned. I have gotten red but the next day it would be gone. I think I look better with a tan. Goes with my coloring best. Or it could be my mom is snow white...
