You're sitting on the sofa, all comfy, and you press the button on the remote to change the channel and nothing happens! You keep pressing the button and still nothing happens!

When something like that happens I just sing out. "Honey! Can you please take a look at this remote Sweetheart!" In a flash my B/F will have a solution ranging from changing the batteries, manually changing the channel to what I want...to us making out on the sofa!!!

In the old days I think they used to get up and go and turn the TV with buttons that are actually located on the TV somewhere. I don't know if this is true it just might be a myth.
LOL. Just go out and buy some batteries when you get the chance.

get up to change the channel, but it doesnt change. press the "power off" button and it doesn't turn off. unplug it and it's still got this really haunting image on the screen...of a well...with a girl with long dark hair crawling out of it..........AGH SHES COMING OUT OF THE TV AHH NOO SAVE ME -blarble- -choke- -death!-
