I don't think so either.I feel our entire system is messed up when you spend more time in jail for possession of drugs than you do for murder, kidnapping,or molestation. What has become of our country?I feel the victims and there families should have an input on there punishment and if they so choose for them to be executed then so be it.

Other than it makes you into that which you hate or worse, which is hypocrisy, it is socially acceptable and just as wrong as the original problem.
What makes it truly bad is that so many are accused and found guilty and later exonerated by new evidence. What then do you say to those they left behind after you have had your revenge, "Oops"?
You say "hurt" but what does that cover? Verbal abuse, taking advantage of someone when selling them something? Physically attacking them?
Assuming you mean physical harm, perhaps a better plan is to find out what causes anti-social behavior (apart from agenda driven excuses) and fix it so it happens less frequently. Obviously as a society, what we've been doing for the past few hundred years is not correcting the problem but in fact, making it worse.
Remember, if we use the adage "an eye for an eye", the whole world will be blind because everyone does things wrong and most live to regret them, even those not caught.
Where do we draw the line? Should shoplifters have their hands chopped off? How about allowing the victims or relatives to exact revenge in each situation where someone feels wronged? Perhaps forcing those who use false statements to derive money from others unjustly into being driven into life-long poverty?
Violence in answer to violence is just more violence, not punishment or correction of the problem.

You would have to decide if you are bad for thinking this. It is certainly a natural response, and I don't have a problem with you shooting anyone you found in the act. My problem is having the judicial system use this punishment. Ignoring the fact of the people released from death row lately because they were innocent, I don't believe in taking another's life if he is not an imminent threat. Besides, if you look at it the right way #1. Child molesters rarely survive long in the prison system and #2. It's a far worse punishment to force them to live the rest of their lives in a 9 by 9 cell than to kill them quickly and mercifully.

Yes,I agree with you and also wish to state that those 'green horns' from human rights and self styled opponents of capital punishment be barred from any protests or intervention.Such
dangerous people have no right to live,if for nothing than being a danger to innocent and helpless children and elderly people.

Sorry, I would not want to execute someone for beating a child. Beating them in return, yes, but executing? Your bad.

i completely agree. i think the way to punish people that hurt kids or the elderly should be to lock them in a room with the familes of their victims.

Capital punishment has it's pro's and cons, but it does have it's place.
I don't think it is so bad to think the way you do.
