Taking the pill: The same time everyday. What exactly does that mean? Please Help!?

Ive just started taking the pill and im just curious as to the time frame it implys when it says the same time everyday does this mean you take the same time everyday in a bracket of: 5 minutes, 30minutes, 1-2 hours, 3-4 hours or anytime under 12hours? Also fellow women on the pill, what time do you take it? What is a most convienent time? Any help would be much appreciated.

Ideally you should take the pill precisely every 24 hours to get the maximum effect. The pill is noted for being 99 percent effective given you take it at the exact same time every day, never missing a day. However in true practice, the effectiveness is only 92 percent for the fact that it's difficult to always take it at the exact same time. But you should aim to be within 1-2 hours of your scheduled time, waiting much longer quite increases your chances of getting pregnant.

I'm not on the pill now, but when I was I would take it at night around 7pm. I didnt choose mornings because depending on the day of the week I would either get up early or sleep in. Nighttime seemed to work, and if I was going to go out I would just set my alarm on my cell phone and bring the pills with so I could take them.

5 or 30 minutes is probably ok.

I would be for some women, 3-4 hours away would be enough. I would count 12 hours like a missed pill.

Read the insert that comes with every pill pack. It will tell you how much of a window you have for taking the pills. I take mine at 5PM every day. I work a rotating shift, so sometimes I am on nights, and sometimes on days. But I know I will always be awake at that time, so I set my watch to beep to remind me to take my pill.

its just so you have a good hormone flow and u wont concive i took mine at 9 pm so that i was already done with my day and wouldnt forget
