Wow she sounds as if she has used.
If your able to contact her do so, and ask her how the program is running, I would also point out the cost of designing programs like this, and a little information about how the program is running would be appreciated, as you are thinking of selling the software for other disabled people who may benefit from this program. Also point out there is a copy right on the program so it can not be copied and passed on to other people with out express permission.
If anything this will hopefully make her aware of the cost of designing and the potential cost of having to buy these sort of programs.
A friend of mine works with special needs children and spent many, many hour designing and tweaking the programs to suit the children's varying needs and or limitations. Sadly the place he worked for claimed them as theirs, subsequently he was not paid for the work, or even acknowledge for his work. Needles to say he and his many friends were a little peeved.
My husband designed some adaptive products to work with a few of these programs above, and he to made the mistake of not putting a copy write on them, and only asked for reimbursement of costs of supplies, and again they claimed the design as theirs.
What really ticks me off most of these programs and adaptive products are being sold at a profit, and my friend and hubby are left out of pocket.
So please ensure your place a copy write on any thing you design (if possible), and take even a token payment to prevent abuse from unscrupulous people.
Good luck

Since you did supply it free of charge for the sake of the disabled student, the teacher should at least have informed you of how the student liked it!
I do know that sending a thank-you message each time an order is delivered isn't really done in the world of business but you did give it to them for free, it wasn't just something they bought from you. I say she should have said thanks!
I hope this incident won't make you feel bad, you're doing a great thing here! One of the students at the course I'm doing is blind, so is one of the people working there, and they're exstatic about the chances they're getting thanks to people like you!
So on behalf of them and all disabled persons you've been able to help already: Thank you!

Was the teacher aware that the service you provided wasn't actually free of charge but that you chose it to be? Unfortunately some people do not think they have to express gratitude for freebies. Could you contact her to enquire if the service you provided was helpful to the student and perhaps you could offer her a price list for other software. She should have sent you a "thank-you" regardless of whether you charged her or not because you don't usually deal with mobility problems and she should have realised this. It is very nice to see there are people out there who are willing to help another person without it costing financially. Thank-you for restoring our faith in human nature. xxx

You should have sent a bill with the proper charge on it and put a disability discount in at say 95%. A lot of stuff on the web is free so it may not have occurred to her that this should be charged for a bill like that would remind her

Unconscionable. I would send her a bill for the full amount that you would have charged her and then state that payment has been waived. That way two things happen - she knows she got the freebie and you have evidence of writing it off for tax purposes.
I wish I could find someone like you! I have a wonderful idea for a software program that may never be developed. The cost to develop it would be astronomical to me. She clearly has no clue.

That's sad - it's awesome that you are willing to do this - You might ask her if she received the software - just to be sure. And hopefully she will realize that she really should have called you to let you know she received it and how much she and the student appreciates it. Or ask how it's working out for the student. Hopefully she's not too dense. If she doesn't get it - you could either figure out she just doesn't have any manners and keep helping anyway, or be blunt about it.
thank you for helping out these students.

you are going to be stunned at how able she turns into as quickly as mommy stops making all her judgements for her .there could be some trial and blunder alongside the way,(as with every 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous) whilst growing to be to be greater self reliant.`The mum or dad could have her hospitalized if choose be yet in basic terms as a final motel. it truly is observed as self reliant residing.enable her to verify and strengthen on her own. This contains making her own errors and residing with the outcomes. She might have plenty greater "on the ball" than you're prepared to furnish her credit for.ask your self what could take place to her in case you have been run over by skill of a custom an hour from now. a minimum of you have made the 1st strikes by skill of having her right into a team residing house. it would desire to no longer finally end up precisely the style you could like it to yet undergo in strategies its her existence no longer yours.
