Cos they operate in a highly cynical and slickly marketed manner designed specifically to appeal to the large "I'm a teenager and I have so many problems, the world just doesn't understand me" market. Just as manufactured as Take That. Having said that, I quite like "Teenagers". Mainly cos it sounds like it could have been written in the 1970's.
