I'm also a clitoral person, and i also need clitoral stimulation during sex.
You can rub your clit during sex, or you can ask your sex-partner to stimulate you there, he doesn't mind if he loves you.
And you also can buy small toys (like the pocket rocket) you can hold against your clit. then you can focus on the sex and not on your clitoris.
And that toy works very well.
I use it sometimes when i have sex.
And it's my favorite partner when i masturbate.

You explain to your sex-partner how you prefer to have sex and how you climax best. Most women climax only through clitoral stimulation, you are totally normal. If you do not discuss it openly with your sex partner you won't be happy and satisfied. Most men know this by the way. Nothing is awkward about it.

Figure out positions with good clitoral stimulation (like woman on top) and use those. Rub yourself or get your partner to rub you during sex. Trust me, he won't mind!!
