Fort Leonardwood, Missouri, for my son's military graduation, the hotel might as well have been the barracks, very back-woodsy, countrified and stiff, absolutely cold and oh, so unfriendly...probably unfair to judge the whole city, but with a name like that, you enter feeling like the enemy...

Lawton Oklahoma. I had just gotten out of the Army at Ft. Sill Oklahoma, and was taking a bus home to Pennsylvania. There wasn't much to do there other then wait for the bus to come. Which was a few hours.

Las Vegas It was sooo hot the soles of my shoes melted. Seriously. Got heat stroke and had to walk/take bus everywhere because renting a car there was 500 a day. We should have just drove instead of taking a plane. And I didn't even get to see Cirque du Soleil or get me a hooker!! No fun = (

Vinita, Oklahoma. My car broke down near there. They have one motel, it costs $30 per night, it has permanent residents that peep in your window at 3am and free cockroaches. Free HBO, too, but that's like putting lipstick on a pig.

Tijuana, Mexico. It smells like the entire state of New Jersey in a heat wave.

Berlin, Germany. Very, very cold people. Lots of jazz clubs, with lots of awful "musicians."
