i expect a lot from my husband - and he expects a lot from me.
i expect (and demand) respect, availability, strength, honesty, fun and love.
I don't want to him to know my dreams or make them come true, i want him to support me as i make my own dreams come true. And i support him in return.
He won my heart by making me feel safe, and making me laugh while i was going through a terribly painful period of time.
my husband is my ideal, and that is:
he works hard
he makes an honest living
he has strong morals that match my own.
he is protective when i ask him to be.
he encourages my independence.
he believes in me.
he loves me unconditionally.
xx

What do women want. I can't speak for all of them, but this is what I want.
Always treat your wife as your best friend.
Treat her like you did when you started out together.
Talk to her like she's a person you love and admire.
Don't be a doormat, but don't be too stubborn - be flexible.
Admit when you are wrong, but don't say you were if you weren't. Sometimes agree to disagree.
Pick your battles - don't stress over the small stuff.
Talk to her, she's not a mind reader. And listen too.
Let her into your life, let her know she is a priority. Don't let her feel that your job, or your mates, or your sports or whatever are more important.
Keep you promises. They are your word, your honor, and if she can't trust you to do what you said you would, then how can she trust you at all?
Be faithful, in thought and in deed.
If you KNOW she wouldn't like you to do something, then don't do it. If you are going to anyway, at the very least be honest.
And expect her to live up to the same standards.

A woman wants to know that you'll take care of her for one, she also wants to be romanced at least once a month and she needs to know that you respect her and trust her.
I'm leaveing my husban for all these reasons and then some, but if you want to fulfill her dreams you need to ask her to write down what she feels a husband should be and once in a while ask her to update it cuz some things can change from time to time.

that's an impossible question to answer, it's to much of a grey area, we all have to realize that you can't put men in one category and women in the other,,we all have different needs, only she can make her dreams come true and all you can do is everything you listed above,,,,but here's my experience I got divorced only because the romance went out, take her on dates, do little things clean up the kitchen after dinner, listen to her and one thing "men" do wrong is when you do see us hurt or have a problem of any kind you want to fix it, you cant always fix are problems sometimes we just need you to listen,

Yes respect in all means is important treat her like a human and not like as if she is there in your life as unpaid servant. Just put yourself into her shoe, wouldnt you like her to respect and adhere your feelings. To kno her dreams is to make her comfortable tht she can talk her heart out to you.... You dont have to give her big expensive things but merely appreciating her, giving her love, respecting, caring, understanding her and utmost important thing be faithfull and never betray her trust, keeping all these things in your mind will do wonders in your relationship, trust me on this ....And whoever told this women run after money, not true...its just a general statement and not all women are like tht.

I wanted a Christian man of like faith who puts God first in his life and to remember that without God, we are nothing. I expect my husband to be loyal and faithful to me because he gave me his word on our wedding day that he would. I want him to always be honest with me but do it in a kind and loving way, not in a brutal, arrogant way. I don't want him to ever raise his voice to me but to talk to me like another human being. I want him to show me love and respect, to help me with things when I need help and not put me down or talk down to me. I want him to listen when I need to talk about something and not be judgmental but ready to suggest things that might help me. If he gets snippy, I want him to apologize for talking to me the way he did and for sometimes hurting my feelings. I want him to hold me and console me when I am hurting and to laugh with me and make me laugh when the opportunity is there to do so.
And you know what? I found him and married him and I can't tell you how blessed I am to have someone so wonderful to share my life with. I am so glad I didn't lower my standards just so I could say I was married like all my friends were when we were growing up. I had to wait a while but he was well worth the wait.
And I would never ask someone to do something I wouldn't do also so he gets all that and more from me. We each give 100% of ourselves to our relationship because without that, we are short changing each other and we know we will end up having problems. Selfishness does not belong in any relationship and thankfully, I found a man who does all he can to help me and make me happy and I do the same for him.

Love and you need to be able to listen to her problems and provide a caring response, you don't to have an answer/fix her problems . I know I just like saying my problems out loud and get angry when hubby tries to fix the problem

As a male i expect her to be herself and nothing more. After all, i married her ( or will since i've just met a most wonderful woman ) and i respect her for who she is and not for sexual gratification.
