I am creating my own queen size bedspread using 19" blocks of homespun but want to vary the design by inserting similar blocks of a crochet square ... does anyone know where I might find an appropriate pattern, or has anyone done something similar and could provide advice? Any assistance is appreciated.

I have added crochet and knitted sections to quilts. All you have to do is baste it to a piece of muslin or cotton and then just treat it like a regular square, Any crochet pattern will do.

Here is a free sampler blanket, you could choose one square from it. (Free but you have to register)

I'm confused.

are you looking for crochet patterns?

embroidery patterns?

bedspread patterns?

For Enboridery, you can use any pattern you like. The techinque is the same, only the materials differ.
