My older brother had one a year ago this month when he turned 40. Nobody knew that he knew about it ahead of time.
When he arrived, he was already plastered, and everybody jumped up and said surprise, as per tradition. Then he ripped off his moustache and said "Surprise!" back.
Nobody there had ever seen him without a moustache his entire adult life. He had it since he was 15. Everybody was shocked. Good times... good times.

I've been to a couple...never had one though. I don't really like surprises that much so I guess it's a good thing.

yupppp i've been to my friends suprise party. it was soo funny cuz she was getting all irritated about how our friend was acting. & i couldnt tell her to chill bc we're still tryin to sneak ppl into the back for your suprise party. but it was soo funny! & then i think for my 16th bday my friends made a suprise party for me. :)
