Sorry, I like how OSU's schedule has suddenly come into question here. Yes, their schedule is not that tough this year, on purpose. They did not expect great things this year, so they scheduled some softer opponents, as does EVERYONE. OSU still has to play in their conference, the Big 10, which is no slouch.
If people want to compare schedules, then even LSU fans have no leg to stand on, and who does USC play??? Last year more than HALF of OSU's games were against ranked opponents. 3 of those games were against the #2 team and we won 2 or 3... Several teams in the Big 10 were ranked as well.
This year LSU does have the tough schedule, but it's still not compared to the hell OSU endured last year. Ohio State did lose in the Championship game last year, to a one loss team. If LSU is so tough and their schedule is so tough, why did they lose to the #17 team? Why did Florida lost to an unranked Auburn team again?
People, don't talk about how tough your team is while they lose to people they should be beating. USC loses to Stanford, LSU loses to Kentucky, South Florida to an unranked Rutgers team. Ohio State wins consistently, we have beat every team as we have been this year, we have covered the spread and when were are favored by 41+ points, we WON.

I want to correct Colonel: They did NOT make this year's schedule 'easy' because they thought they would have a bad team. Schedules are made several years in advance, and they had no idea how good or bad the team would be. And if you pay any attention, you'll see that EVERY top team follows the same formula for deciding on a schedule. They ALL schedule ONE good team, and a bunch of pansies, unless that happen to have a long standing out of conference rivalry (see USC-Notre Dame). The Buckeye's schedule is not as tough as usual because Washington fielded a bad team, not because OSU made it extra easy.

To answer the question, there's no reason to believe the Buckeyes can't win out. Most of the people predicting they will lose have not watched a single OSU game, they're just bitter because their team lost. All indications seem to indicate that this year's team is BETTER than last years team.

Anything can happen, but Ohio State has a better chance than anyone else does of making it to the game. All they and BC have to do is win out, other teams need help. Plus, they have the easiest remaining schedule of all the contending teams. LSU is a better team that Ohio State, but they need to win out against a much tougher schedule and hope BC or Ohio State lose. Oklahoma has an easier remaining schedule than LSU, but they need two teams to lose to make it into the top 2. The best case scenario would be for BC and Ohio State to both lose a game and OU and LSU to win out so the two best teams could play in the Championship game, but I think it will be Ohio State making it in to get blown out again, either by LSU or Oklahoma.

I think that they have as good of a chance as anybody, they have to get through a very tough big ten schedule coming up and if they do then they should have no problem going 11-0 and play, oh I don't know maybe LSU in the BCS championship game. Go Bucks

God please let it be....that way they we get a step closer to a play off when they get blown out AGAIN by a top tier team in the national title game!! Michigan is still either the best or second best team in that conference and they lost to a div. 2 team and the eventual pac-10 champions in a blow out. The big ten has lost its luster to many old school coaches with hardly any team speed. The SEC and Pac-10 are light years ahead of any team in the big 10 with great overall team speed, and inovative coaching. But in know these things go in cycles and the big 10's turn is a coming due here in the next few years.
P.s. GO DUCKS!!!!

Chances are, no.

They haven't been truly tested yet, and at least one loss to either Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, or Michigan is likely. If they do run the table this regular season it will resemble the 2002 season, when they had to rely on late heroics to win some tight ball games.

Go Ted Ginn, he play for my team Dolphins. And i kno they will go to the Championship game because Florida took that away in last years game. This is not USC or LSU, so GO OSU!

I don't think so. I see Michigan beating them, plus, the buckeyes first loss might even happen tomorrow against the spartans.

They actually have a decent shot due to their weak schedule. Out of their remaining games, there is only one against a ranked team, and that team is #23. This is their most difficult game of the year.
