Pokemon Silver Ruins of Alph.?

Question

Ok, I am verrrrry confused about the ruins of alph in pokemon silver. I understand how to get all 26 unknown and what they mean, but what is the point of them? I mean, are they usefull for any other aspect of the game, or are they just...there?

There's absolutly no point to it.

There was some font I believe that could be unlocked with the old Game Boy Printer, but I've never even seen one of those in the U.S.
