Isaiah is a great name. ;) I've heard Ike, Isa (IE-za, not EE-sa), Izzy and Saiah (Zaya ... not sure if the parents changed the spelling for the short form) used as nicknames. You might also use Zaid/Zayd (from ISAIah Douglas) or Id/Ed(die) from the I.D. initials. Hope that helps!

Nicknames are usually about the personality, or a shortened version of the name. ("I.D.") Wait on giving out the nickname for a few years. Maybe a sibling will eventually call him "Bubba" or "Brother" (I went to school w/ a guy known by all as "Brother" b/c he had 6 sisters and 0 brothers; and yet I babysat for one family of 3, the boy was in the middle, but the eldest sister had a speech impediment so he is known as "Bubba", even today now that he has his own children).
If you can't call your baby Isiah, don't name him that!

Izzy and Doug or Dougie ( Doo-gie) are the ones that come to mind.
You could always wait and see what his personality is like, then give him a nickname. My oldest was always on the move, so I call him Turbo. My youngest couldn't pronounce his name ( Nicholas ) and always called himself "Ish". I still call him that even 12 years later. LOL

like the name, but nicknames are kind of personal. that you have to come up with, that might describe him or the way he acts. stranger can't really make up nicknames. just wait until you can see how he reacts to things. you'll come up with a way better name than any strangers in here will come up with.
