The usual tourist attractions in STL would include a trip to the Gateway Arch, the St. Louis Zoo (one of the top zoos in the country and its free), other museums in Forest Park (near the zoo), St. Louis Science Center (has Omnimax Theater) and a tour of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery.

Other things off the beaten path would include a visit to the conflluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers just north of St. Louis City. It is worth seeing and quite impressive. If you like the outdoors you'll have an opportunity to see deer and coyotes and hike. The Museum of Transportation is mainly and outdoor museum of old trains, airplanes and some cars. If you have kids with you and it is a rainy day, try the Magic House or the City Museum (tons of fun for kids and adults.)

Starting with downtown you need to see the Arch, Old Cathedral, Old Courthouse, Union Station and Lacledes Landing including the casino boat. Then you might want to move on to the central west end and wander up and down Euclid for great food and drink and then go to all the things in Forest Park such as the Steinberg Rink, Art Museum, Zoo, History Museum, Planetarium, Jewel Box. Cross Oakland Ave to the Science Center. Then go to Grand Avenue home of everything from the Fox Theater, Grandel Theater and Symphony to wonderful ethnic restaurants. Close by is Missouri Botanical Gardens, Shaw's home and the Climetron. If you want a great time on a Friday evening go to the City Museum and play. The city is the place to find great restaurants and fun clubs and bars.

The basic things to do are the arch, the science center, things like that. The city museum is a lot of fun also, especially for kids. The Blues play tomorrow night and you can still get $15-$25 tickets online. That should be a lot of fun.

The bowling/Cardinals Hall of Fame is very interesting. You can also bowl a game on the antique lanes. If you like sandwiches, try lunch at Shannon's. My dad said the best Reuben he ever had was at Shannon's.
