he will probably stay a yankee...he isnt going to boston cause lowell is lved by bosten, so they arent letting him go...the cubs have aramis ramirez and dont have the money, the angels cant afford him either, he now has a comfort level in NY and will stay...he lives in NY, he wanted to come to NY if you remember back 4 years he wanted to go to the Mets but the Mets dropped the ball and now with a high payroll themselves and nowhere to put him with david wright and jose reyes at much lower prices and younger ges, he isnt going there...the yankess came out and said they want him, he says he wants to stay in NY...with the Yankees having just dropped Torre, they need to make some big signinings to prove to the fans that they wot have a bunch of rookies on the field cause right now 25 year old wilson betemit, who cant really hit from the right side well is their current 3rd baseman. ther are not many good 3rd basemen out in the freeagent market right now and if they raded for one, they would need to give up young arms which cashman has been trying to build in the farm system...he isnt going anywhere...yankees are the only one who ca give A-Rod everything and his agent want and that is money ad a team that has the potential of winning year in and year out, and considering we live where he said he wants to play doesnt hurt either, and with the yanks saying if he opts out, his price wont be so high on the free agent market. he will get everthing he wants in NY...seriously doubt him going anywhere else.

I gotta think the Sox are the only other team crazy enough to fork out the money.
Been hearing Angels rumblings, but they better expand their payroll to accommodate his salary rather than trying to fit him in the current one. Else they will end up in the same boat Texas did a few years back . . .
to the above post A-rod can play SS too and I am sure that he would like to, may even be a bargaining chip for another team. And Lowell would not prevent A-Rod, c'mon there is no comparison.

Boston management doesn't like Manny Ramirez, and their third baseman, Mike Lowell, will be a free agent. I think they'll trade Ramirez for a cheaper pitcher and use the money they save on Manny and Lowell to pay A-Rod's obscene salary. A-Rod would probably move back to shortstop and their weak-hitting shortstop would probably be traded also.
I don't know if this would be good for the team or for A-Rod, but starting pitching is a problem again, with Schilling doubtful and Wakefield getting old, and this is the sort of deal that Epstein would like to pull off.
If I were A-Rod's advisor, I'd tell him to leave the Yankees to save his sanity, and urge him to leave the division, even if it meant a pay cut.
