I can only list 10 movies that I like a great deal, but they aren't necessarily the ones I'd pick for a best list, which takes much more thinking than I can manage at 2 a.m. while watching Clint Eastwood's "The Beguiled".

Hear are some of my personal favorites:
Romeo & Juliet (1968)
Gone With the Wind
The Wizard of Oz
LOTR trilogy (They do go together,)
On Golden Pond
The Haunting (original)
POTC trilogy (even though I haven't seen the third one yet)
Star Wars saga
Casablanca
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

This is agony for a film buff, so I simply have to list some more! Sorry!
Jaws
Pumpkinhead
La Strada
Diva
Harvey
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
It Started in Naples
Donnie Darko
Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow
Fantasia
American Pop
The Seven Year Itch
Charade
Picnic
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
E.T.~The Extra-Terrestrial
The Innocents
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Forbidden Planet
Heavenly Creatures
Cat Ballou
Halloween
Rosemary's Baby
My Bodyguard
West Side Story
My Fair Lady
Gigi
Lili
Alien tetralogy plus Alien vs. Predator
Play Misty for Me
Fellini Satyricon
Watership Down
Indiana Jones trilogy
The Adventures of Milo & Otis
Ruthless People
Driving Miss Daisy
The Company of Wolves
Raising Arizona
The Outsiders
I have far too many favorite films! No wonder my VHS tapes are threatening to bury me!
