2) Mom & Dad wanted you to be a lawyer
3) Becuase you like to spend 25 hours a day researching in dusty librarys and writing
4) Movies - LA Law, The FIRM
5) Because you feel obligated to support financial institutions by saddling yourself with a life long debt that is impossible to retire.

I can only speak for myself. When you have a social science or humanities degree, it's hard to make a big load of money. But you can as a lawyer.

To become a lawyer, some do double degree of law & policing and become police officers or prosecutors...

you get lots o' dead presidents (money). or they just want to be a lawyer... either one.
read the book "the street lawyer" its about homelss people and lawyers for the homeless. awesome book!
