Volumes can be written about it.
In one sentence, however, I can sum up.
It is: When you lose control over yourself.

For me, well I think about that person through out the day. When I am not around them I think about them and what I can say to them the next time we see each other. When I see them and can be around them I feel happy and excited and even a little nervous. I stare at them and dream about holding them and kissing them. I dream about being able to take care of her problems and think about ways to show her I care about her. Usually the very mention of her name makes me smile and feel good. I find myself wanting to be around them all the time. If I see another guy talk to her or flirt with her I become jealous and I feel my heart sink. I often want to talk with her but find I am so scared to say anything. I am afraid I will sound like a fool. I am afraid that she will not like me back. That is how I feel when I find I am falling in love with someone. =)

When you and your significant other are able to e.g. sit across a dinner table, or go on a nature walk, or work side by side in a garden, and, without sexual feelings, feel love and respect for the other, that's love, at that level of interpersonal knowing and intensity. If sex has to be brought into the equation in order to feel "love," then you are not in love, but in lust, and you truly don't relate in love (what feeling of pleasure you feel as "love," is simply self-love/self-gratification of your own body temple, and the only "love" for the other person is as a sex-object)..

A further development of love is when the two of you are able to talk about issues on which you might have differing opinions--e.g., on how much money a person should save of his or her paycheck--with love and respect for each other.

Also, are you both able to make constructive criticisms to the other, "truth in love"? Do you both complement each other about 10-20 times for each one constructive criticism or request you make?

These are behaviors of people who love and respect each other.

More and better information in "Sexual Force and the Winged Dragon," Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. A warm and positively insightful book, well worth reading, is Martha Beck's "Expecting Adam."

And, perhaps most tellingly, both of you ought be loving God, divine Love, Mercy, Purity, Truth, and so on, completely, during your mutual love.

best regards,

j.

Frequently..

if you are in love...

yopu think much on the person you most certainty have a crush on...

then..you began to imagine things with her..(not cravings...)
then..you would think what is the best you could do to make him/her happy...

the best thing you could do is to give that person time..

a TIME that both of you can spend together..

being in love is not being excited about things..
you should wait for that certain person if you really love him/her........
good luck...

An older lady I knew was asked by a young guy if his girlfriend was in love with him, how would he know. She answered if she tries to gag you with her tongue. Horrible.

i guess, you feel vulnerable.. like your defences just go limp. you're kind of obssessed with that person. you feel some sort of pain, because you don't like being vulnerable, obssessed and far from this person, but you're unable to say, if the pain feels good or bad.
