I like musicals, but I saw the film and it was too gay. I'd like to hear some opinions before I buy a ticket.

I really cringed at the movie - hated it. But I got free tickets to the musical in Sydney and although I have never liked musicals either, I went because it was free. What a hoot!!! I would've paid for it. It was soooooooo funny and spectacular. The amazing costumes, the incredible set mechanics, the timing of the jokes, the naughtiness, the array of characters, the choreography - all just brilliant, surreal and so wildly original. You have to see it. We laughed ourselves silly and cheered like madmen.

"but I saw the film and it was too gay"

How can a film about two drag queens and a transsexual be "too gay"? It was a hoot! The stage show is brilliant but if you are offended by guys in frocks who fancy other men then I wouldn't go. It's your loss.

Quite right, a bit gay. But a classic and different to other films.

"A bit gay". ROFLMAO! It's intentionally over-the-top, outrageously, floridly, hilariously gay!! Go along and have a laugh, let your inhibitions slip just a little....
