Well, let's think. It's an ionic compound, because it's a metal and a nonmetal. The ion for CO2 is CO2 -. The ion for Na is Na+. It has a charge of 1+. The - and the + cancel eachother out, making the net charge 0. Therefore, the product is NaCO2.
(hint: ALWAYS think of them as ions!!)
