Why do alot of people have the fear that the boogie man or something of the sort is going to either chop or eat their toes off in the middle of the night if their blankets arnt covering them? iv heard of this happening to many people. Or if anything.. why do some people find it akward or uncomfortable and dont know why, almost leading it to fear of missing toes, but subconsciencely...

its nice to know im not the only one :) and i think everyone has their own little storys behind the somewhat same fear. Mine when i was a chile was my grandma and grandpa would hide in my closet and if my toes were hanging off and not covered they would come out and eat them! very odd.. and creepy. maybe for some reason i was always intimidated by them? or maybe it was something else.. ? idk

When my daughter was little she had recurrent nightmares that invisible alligators were under her bed and would bite at her fingers and toes.
I purchased a small spray bottle and filled it with H2O,a powerful invisible alligator repellent. Spraying thoroughly under her bed every night soon put those alligators to route!!!

Yes, This actually happened to me when I was young!
I was sleeping in my bead when I woke up to little gremlins nibbling on my toes and as soon as they saw me they ran away and I had blood all over the place!
2 toes were missing and I went to the hospital, When I got home my Dad said I was crazy for thinking there were gremlins in my room but, Could not explain the missing toes?
I finally got back to sleep and later on in the night I awoke to nibbling sounds and turned on the light and they were back!
More toes were gone and I could`nt believe I did`nt feel anything!
Again to the hospital and more bandages and medicine to stop the pain.
After all the excitement I was able to get back to sleep and finally woke up around 6am to look at my feet and there were no toes left! I cried and my parents came running and there was blood all over!
My toes were gone and I today have little plastic toes that help me walk.
We never caught the gremlins but, My little sister was just born and I`m sure they will be back, They love baby toes!
I now understand that if you keep your feet covered they cannot chew or nibble on your toes.

haha I do that... I always have since I was really young, so maybe thats why I still do it... when I was younger i had a night light, now I sleep in the complete dark... so covering my body and my feet feel like nothing can get in, and since im in the dark, it wont matter cuz nothing can come through the blanket! :)

Just laugh at yourself and simply stop imagining... It's all in the brain, and there's no way that sort of thing'll happen anyway... Unless a real person comes inside your room when you're asleep at night

I am afraid of an executioner coming along with his sharp ax in the night and cutting off anything that isn't covered.

I wouldn't say it's many people. Your phobia is slightly odd.
