it really depends on what it is, but the truth is a double edged sword. but keep this in mind. if the truth comes out, at least you know the truth, and now you can act accordingly to that truth. Usually lies or dishonesty only creates a false sense of truth. Example dishonesty is like a bridge made out of rope and boards, while honesty is like the golden gate or concrete bridge. The rope bridge can break at anytime when you cross, while the concrete one is much more solid. So i would say let the truth be said, at least its the truth.
