I have some friends cover me and my costume with hairspray and they run out into the street and start a roman candle fight, once they have everyone attention i run out of the back alley and they hit me with a roman candle fire ball and set me completely on fire, that when i run down the street screaming " Oh my god i'm burning, god help me i'm dying" the looks on peoples faces are priceless, i've done this stunt a couple of times before but never on Halloween, so what do you think of my idea?
P.s. i wear tons of fire retardent cloths under my costume so i've never been hurt yet doing this stunt.

People usually get freaked out when they think there watching someone burn to a crisp.

Hairspray doesn't burn very hot or very long, just long enough for a short prank, the worst thing that ever happened when i've done the stunts before is i've burned my eye brows off.

I think Murphy's Law must be considered when attempting a stunt like this. Fire extinguishers might malfunction, you could black out from being in the oxygen deprived environment, the fire retardant might not be effective, or a spot might get missed, etc., etc. It's also worthy of a Disorderly Conduct charge, and who knows what else, depending on the state you live in.
It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt. Then it's just hilarious. I'll see you on the next "Banned from Television" or "Faces of Death" DVD.
EDIT: "Hairspray doesn't burn very hot or very long," sounds like famous last words to me. That tells me you haven't thought this through nearly enough. Hairspray isn't the only thing the fire will be in contact with. Your clothes, your shoes, your hair... I did my middle school science project on the effectiveness of flame retardant on textiles. The retardant has a finite ability to protect you from the fire. One thing goes wrong, and "woof!" you're engulfed in flames and you could actually die or become dog meat like the girl below, all for the sake of a few laughs. Do you really want to be one of those idiots who gets a Darwin Award?

What about when you trip over some little kids or the mom and stroller waiting in the street for her older kids to finish their trick or treating? Are they going to be wearing fire retardent clothes, too?

If someone calls for an ambulance, they arrive(along with the police), discover it's a prank, you are likely to be charged by the police and have to pay the ambulance bill. Do you know the story about the boy who cried "wolf" one time too many?
