The war in Iraq was planned long before 9/11 but the timing wasn't right to invade before we had a catastrophic event. Read some policy papers by Philip Zelikow, Scooter Libbey, Paul Wolfowitz, David Wormser ect (PNAC). You will soon start to understand that the war on terrorism was staged and is a phoney. Notice how we didn't leave after we got Saddam. notice how no WMD were found. Notice how we are using the same excuses to start another war no one wants. Notice that Democrats including Hillary voted to for the Iraq war and they said they would end the war instead they just keep funding it. Also, download examples of terrorism before 9/11. No, we should have funded the people that wanted Saddam gone and sent our military force to stregthen our resolve in Afghanistan (making sure that the Taliban never sees the light of day again) and Saudi Arabia (since most of the 9/11 hijackers came from there)

No not even sure if the first war in iraq was right. Ok so we saved kuwait and the oil. Oil is basically why the first war took place. so sadam killed a group of people who tried to assinate him. I think if anybody tried to assinate bush he'd kill 1000 times as many so whats the diff.

Yes. We could not afford to sit and be stooges. Sometimes you must make a spectacle or set a precedent, a terribly hard decision but the safety of our country and our prowess as a Nation is not to be trifled with! And it requires a show of strength so the pacifists must roar--so be it, but we will maintain our integrity as a nation that will not cow cow to foreign enemies!

Yes.

As much as I would love to put a few rounds in some terrorists here in my backyard, most Americans don't have the stomach for war on American soil. Better to fight terrorists in Iraq as an away game, than a home one.
