the gregorian calender fixed with the leap year a 1/4 day overage in the older version. so if it is 2008 /4 =502 days it would be around 2010.
If you want to go back to the hebrew calender it is around 5782. If you want to use the Persian system it would be around the same plus a little. China ??

Seriously though, a year would denote a calendar of some sort. If not the gregorian calendar, then which one? You'd have to specify which calendar in order for us to give you a more specific answer.
