Don't forget "Roma" for a girl. Roma is the Itallian name for this city, as you know.

As for Francis for a boy, don't be cruel. Ladies may tell you it's alright now but men will tell you differently. If you name your boy Francis, he may be teased mercilessly. I would certainly laugh out loud and I've never been a particularly cruel kid. Francis is rather sissy sounding, I'm sorry. And he will insist on being called Frank anyway so just go with Frank from the start so he doesn't get embarrassed when his real name Francis is invoked at roll call.

If you want to get France in there, consider Paris as a name. We all know Paris Hilton so that may carry some baggage with it right now. But in mythology, Paris was the son of King Priam and the son of Troy who kidnapped the Greek Queen Helen, inciting the Trojan War. Paris is portrayed sometimes in heroic proportions for bringing down the great warrior Achilles with an arrow to the heel. I'd snicker less at Paris for a guy than I would the name Francis. Just a thought.

As for "America", consider the variation "Amerigo" as this was who America was named after -- Amerigo Vespucci, an Itallian map-maker.

"India" for a girl is exotic-sounding. Do you have any Middle-Eastern blood in you though? If you want to commemorate India in a name, don't forget Rudyard Kipling's famous poem from India, "Gunga Din"...

What!??? You don't think "Gunga" would be a fun name? Life of the party! Gunga's here now! (smiles...I'm totally joking!)

Dear God! Not America! India is much better!
Roman is a good name, and I know girls named Francis!
How about, for a girl, Brittany (For Britain) or Ireland (should be obvious!)?
And for a boy, stick with Roman!

why not? Sebastian Bach (ex Skid Row) named his sons Paris Francis and London. Plus there's Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera and video game designer American McGee.

I like Roman and India

Francis is probably the best one but I don't think naming your kid after a country sounds that good just imagine saying your kids name in a crowded area

girl: India=sandy lol
boy: France=french I think that might sound kinda cool

Out of the four names I like Roman the best... I can see your children getting made fun of in school for having any of the other names (no offense!). I suggest maybe naming them after some of your favorite cities you stayed in while in these countries?
