Have u guys noticed that Oldies are very popular among Latinos/Hispanics...espec... Mexicans & Chicanos. Yet only Richie Valens (that i know is Chicano) is among the greatest.
I personally love oldies, but i'm just a 17 year old college teen. Most people think that only OLD people listen to OLDies. Is that true? Am I, among young people, the only one who thinks that oldies are just so wonderful?

No, I really don't think that only older people listen to the "oldies"..they have radio stations that play only the "oldie hits"...back in the 50's, 60's, 70, and 80's...they played was was called real music and the artists had real talent too. Now adays the artists are ok..but really some of them just scream and rant and rave and no one can make sense out of the songs they sing.

i'm 13 too and that i pay attention to oldies music! i like it!! If i ought to i might marry oldies music! i admire each and every of the stuff like , Elvis, The Everly Brothers, Isley Brothers, The Beatles, Jerry Lewis, Queen, George Michael, Abba, James Brown, The Rolling Stones!!!............there is tens of millions of greater!!! yet i admire The Beatles the best. I purely love love love the 50's 60's 70's and 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want we went to an identical college at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purely hate the music we've got, It;s rubbish! I purely can;t pay attention to it!

i tought i was the only one im only 13 years old and that oldies make up about 90% music i listen too if i could i would go back to that era the music is so calming and soothing and relates to alot of real life situations which is more than what you can say nowadays

ha, i listen to oldies all the time, i think they are fuccin awesome. ever hear of van morrison, or jackson browne, or if you want to go earlier then that sam cooke, the shylights
