But you will have to use gas at the modern prices and for less than 12 miles per gallon, empty your refuse tank every two days, maneuver in heavy traffic, find a place to park, try to get in parks with a too-narrow roads, wash your dishes, pull out and/or make your bed and take a water-saving shower by yourself. Now, have fun.

That is a wonderful idea! You will have a blast. My sister and her husband and two toddlers remodeled a bus and drove around the US for two years. It was a very special time.
