My mom always made use warm milk with honey in it and used the heating pad on low right on the belly. This works, I had cramps when I was younger that were so severe i actually passed out and had to have tons of embarassing tests, etc. and she used this and it worked.

They can be good for mild cramping (the Midol and Pamprin) but if someone is having cramping so bad that they can't function on a daily basis then it needs to be evaluated by a doctor to see what they think could be going on.

Midol has worked for me. If i get severe cramping I take 800 mg Motrin and put a hot water bottle or heating pad on my tummy. This seems to help. I also take a hot bath and use some rose aromatherapy bath milk. It seems to help allieviate the discomfort as well.

Ibuprofen 800 and a heating pad was my best bet, but I eventually had to get a hysterectomy because of my cramps. If they are really bad, see your gyno and discuss to possibility that you have endometriosis.

There is only one thing that relieves my cramps. Ibuprofen. All that other stuff just did not work. Trust me.
