Which is best? Maisie or Massie?... or Margaret and call her Maisie/Massie?
What other names could Maisie or Massie be a nickname for?
thanks...

I like Maisie as a name on its own. Have a little girl at my sons daycare and she has this name. It suits her so well. Wouldn't change it at all.

I like Massie, just because Maisie is a children's book character. A kid could go either way on how they feel about also being a cartoon rat. Oh, and it's easier to take Massie seriously in adult life. Maisie sounds very, very cute but may not work for a CEO.

I prefer Maisie to Massie, which I would pronounce MASS-ee.
I think it also could be a nn for Mary or Marian.

Note to Dixie: the parade is spelled Macy, like the dept. store that sponsors it. Maisie is a different name.

Out of Maisie and Massie I prefer Maisie. Did you consider spelling it Maisy?

I don't think it is short for Margaret though, there too different.

Names short for Margaret would be: Marg, Margie, Marge.

Maisie. I don't think It works as a name for Margaret. Maybe McKenzie, but that's still a little far off. Maybe even Madison, Mia, or Maya? Anything like that COULD work, I just don't know how well.

Just use Maisie. It doesn't have to be a nickname for something else. I think it's a cute name.

when i see massie, i automatically read MASS-EE. Are you going for the MAY-SYE sound? then i would go with maisie.
