You can't force someone to date people you want them to date. All you can do is hope that she matures and realizes that these older men aren't really her speed. If you try to talk "sense" into her you will probably offend her and make a riff in your friendship, so just let her live and learn.

strategies your own company in this one. it would desire to save a friendship. I dated older men while i grew to become into 19 because of the fact they have been greater advantageous for me -- they have been kinder, they have been plenty greater advantageous & greater giving in mattress and that they have been emotionally beneficiant -- all features that come from having stay journey. it relatively is not something a 19 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous boy has. however the easy reality is: she advised you her reason. while you're truly her actual pal, you will settle for it unconditionally and end attempting to alter her to healthful you. Oh.. and for rockyd -- a 19 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous is a legal person and is now no longer a minor. The age of majority for women human beings is eighteen -- same as for men, so corruption of a minor is out of the question. have you ever discovered no longer something on your short existence approximately examining for content cloth and comprehension?

Two books:
10 Stupid Things Women Do to Mess Up Their Lives
&
Bad Childhood, Good Life
Either will be helpful, but ONLY IF she actually wants help on this issue. She probably doesn't. This phenomena is very typical of young women with "daddy issues". It's sad, I wish I had better news. You are a good friend to care so much, but you can't fix this for her.

I'm 40 and my girlfriend is 21 (no I'm not rich and it isn't as creepy as it sounds). We started dating when she was 18, and she came on to me, not the other way around, and we're very happy together still 3 1/2 years later. So I'd say if the older guys are nice and sincere and not just looking for a young girl, and she's happy, leave her alone.

How do you convince her? Well, if it isn't some major emotional hang-up, I'd try these two:
1) They're not really any more mature ;)
2) If she runs afoul of a man who would unkindly take advantage of a naive young girl (whom, I imagine, nearly any would to be that old and date a19 yr old) then she will be compeltely defenseless physically, psychologically, emotionally, or intellectually from any single thing they want to do to her. Messing with someone so far outside your league and capacities is begging to be victimized, one way or the other.
Oh, and -DO- try to stop her. If you don't, then it's because you don't care if she gets hurt or worse. You care more about serving yourself with a minimum of hassle or friction.

You can't force the issue. But when she's 40 and he's 70 things get difficult. There are health issues and occasional insecurities you will have to deal with. Aging ain't pretty.

Different people find different things attractive. There's nothing inherently wrong with liking older men (or women) - sure, society frowns on it in certain ways, but certain society frowns on liking people outside of your ethnic or social group, for example. I don't think you should go out of your way to convince her otherwise, if she's honestly happy with how she feels.

its not really about what you think. She probably does have abandonment issues which she's trying to rectify with father figure partners, bu she needs to work it out in her own time. just try and be there to suppot her when she needs it
