But see the thing is I don't even think I was pregnant. The only reason why I asked is because when I asked a question about my period a lot of people kept asking me if I had possibly been pregnant. So now it got me worried.

I have had 4 miscarriages. On the first one I bled for weeks after the actual miscarriage but the bleeding was light. On the second and third one I had a "birthing process" as my doctor put it. I had intense cramping and passed a large clot with mucus type material. On the fourth I had the light bleeding over time again. Each miscarriage can be different and you should see a doctor to make sure that "everything comes out naturally." Hope that helps.

How clotty things appear is rather relative to how far along you were when you began the miscarriage. And yes, you can see some mucus appearing stuff sometimes. The bleeding ordinarily lasts for a few days, not more than a week at most. You should never soak through a pad in less than an hour, and you should not wear tampons at all. It's still a good idea to be checked out and monitored by a gyn though, and although a D & C is not a pleasant procedure, it is still usually the best idea to make certain everything is taken care of. After the procedure the bleeding will usually stop in a few days, if not sooner. The trouble with not doing it is that products of conception, like the placenta, can be retained and set you up for an infection and future problems. If you suspect you are having a miscarriage, it's best to be see now. You can also lose a great deal of blood, and have clots, and still be pregnant. It's not a highly probable scenario, but still has been known to occur. So please, go see the doctor and be taken care of properly.

I had a miscarriage in January and I bled for two weeks. When I first started bleeding it wasn't that heavy, but as the days went by it did become heavy and it was dark red (darker than it normally is). Yes, I also had blood clots and the pain in my stomach got worse. My Doctor recommend that I had an ultrasound to make sure that my body discharged everything. He told me that the bleeding would stop on its own and that the pain would eventually go away. If it didn't, he told me to see him or that I should go to the hospital. My body rejected the egg, so I don't know if it would apply to you, but I would go see a Doctor if I were you. Hope this helps.

This is not something that I really want to remember, but yes there was clotting and mucus. The bleeding did not start of heavy, but progressively got that way. It started off by spotting. I don't remember exactly how long it lasted, because I went into shock over losing the baby.

you can have very heavy bleeding with a miscarriage...but it depends on how far along you were into the pregnancy...if you were just barely pregnant...like 5 weeks it will feel like just a heavy period....there can be clotting...sometimes lots of them ...again depending on how far along you were....just be sure you have gotten medical care....just because you bleed in pregnancy...doesn't mean you have miscarried....25% of all normal pregnancies have some spotting in the first trimester...if you are indeed misscarrying...the bleeding can last as long as 2 weeks...but NOT heavy bleeding....a good rule of thumb is...if you are saturating a pad completely every hour for three hours...then your bleeding is too heavy and you need to go to the ER...

Well when I haf my miscarriage, I didn't bleed. I had a brwn discharge, which was "old" blood, then I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. When I went to the doctor, I was 12 weeks pregnant, and they did an ultrasound and told me that the baby was the size of a 9 week old baby. So I miscarried 3 weeks before and didn't even know it.

i woke up bleeding severly. and i was in so much pain and i was so weak that i literally had to crawl to the bathroom. I always have really heavy periods so i actually at first thought thats what it was, i didnt even know i was pregnate until later that day. I cant say exactly what it looked like....as in mucus-ie but it was alot of blood and like the egg dropped out. I was really lucky that i didnt hemorrhage to death. if you think that you are having one you definatly should see a doctor right away.

When I had my miscarriage, I bleed as if on my menustral cycle for about 2-3weeks. It was very mucusy and clotty for the first two days, then on the third day, my uterus started to contract as if going into labor and it hurt so bad I was rushed to the ER. They had to give me meds to ease the pain. After I passed the fetus (8 weeks) I was fine. Went home and bled off and on very lightly for another 2-3weeks.

I have had many impolite feedback directed to me as good. People are simply ignorant, and have no idea their obstacles. I have certainly not miscarried so I can certainly not totally realise what that's like, however my brother and sister-in-regulation had predicament conceiving and had been harm in many instances by way of folks's inconsiderate feedback. I have had folks question me if my children are followed (correct in entrance of them), considering they're combined race. I have ordinarily had folks (even whole strangers) inform me that I do not feed my little one sufficient, whilst she has very critical clinical stipulations that avoid her from gaining weight. I am very secure with being open and sincere with folks, and really swiftly placed them of their situation. Maybe they inspiration I used to be rather impolite, despite the fact that I am tactful, however I believe it is most important for folks to observe that they're being impolite. Hopefully it'll avoid them from making the equal mistake with any individual else. I am so sorry to your losses, are you ARE allowed to grieve over miscarriages.
