Hmmm.... after my boyfriend left me two years ago I listened to these:
Los Lobos- It'll Never Be Over For Me (this song made me bawl)
Chicago- If You Leave Me Now
Aerosmith- What It Takes
Aerosmith- Crazy
REO Speedwagon- Keep On Loving You
Nazareth- Love Hurts
The Cars- Since You're Gone
Madona- Love Don't Live Here Anymore
The Pet Shop Boys- What Have I done to Deserve This?
Bob Dylan- Tangled Up In Blue
The Rolling Stones- It's All Over Now (for once you realize the bastard ain't worth it)
Def Leppard- Bringing On The Heartbreak
Poison- Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Another song I love now which is good is Toby Keith's "A Little Too Late"
LOL Now, go and have yourself a pity-party and a good cry. Believe me it helps.

I've always liked "It's Too Late" by Carole King. In it, she takes a mature approach to breaking up by not assigning any blame or trying to make her partner change his mind. She realizes the relationship has run its course and it's time for both of them to move on.
