Being a person of discipline, I'd say I do.
And I avoid to give advice to the ones who keep "prejustified decisions" for themselves.
I wouldn't ever play the role of Pompey under the explosive rage of Vezuvious. :-) :-)

fire_inur_eyes hit the nail on the head. this woman is either mentally sick, or has someone on the side, or both. i had a "friend" from my high school years that did that exactly same thing. she went as far as even telling me she was booking a trip to see me, (this was several years ago when we were living in different states) and "canceling" the same day because "one of her son's got into a problem." another time, when she was going through her divorce she told me she was overwhelmed by the process of needing to move, and that she didnt have anyone to help her do it. i booked a flight since it was my intention to suprise her and help her with her move. SHE IGNORED ME COMPLETELY, and for the day she was supposed to "move" she had a "dentist appointment" and that is why she couldnt see me the next day. i was going to stay 3 days, but changed my flight back for the next one. i sent her an email about the issue, and how i thought i had enough, and that i understood then why her husband left her. she had the audacity to be the one to call my home all angry and bent out of shape letting me know what a horrible person i was. well, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. i tolerated some of the b.s. because i knew she was a diagnosed bipolar. however, sick or not, between that and many other things she did to me, i figured they couldnt be all blamed by the condition and that it was time to let go. i urge you not to walk away from her, but to run. leave skid marks on your way out, and a cloud of dust on your wake. she will not EVER be the reasonable person you expect.

well I was once told I have an excuse for everything, but if that was true then I wouldn't have to seek advice myself from time to time. I try to follow the advice I give my friends, and I try to follow the advice given to me by friends... if I would have listened this last time it would have saved me a lot of trouble.
But then again some of the bad experiences in life is what makes it worth living... right?

Honestly when I give advice, I think about the person and their well being and what would be in their best interest. This is as a good friend to them of course. When it comes to myself, I find it hard to follow my own advice. i don't know why that is. Why is that?

I believe that I am very faithful to my principles. I don't preach what I don't practise. However, sometimes it is hard to follow advice that are in conflict with passion or addiction. For example, I advise people not to stress, not to eat too much and not to depress. However, I am a stressed person, prone to depression, and I eat because of that.

Yes, of course I find good excuses. A good excuse is what polite and good persons should always give, especially to others. We must advice them that they must excuse others.

I try to only give advice as to things I myself follow. Key word: Try.

Recently I found out that no matter what advice you give, or get, you'll do what feels better for you...people are weak, so am I sometimes...I stepped on the advice that I had given previously and followed my heart...and broke it...
