Ashworth is a nationally accredited college (DETC) and is therefor legit and legal.

They are not regionally accredited though so their credits won't transfer to most colleges and their degrees won't qualify for admission to the regionally accredited universities.

Their vocational courses (PCDI) are fine for what they are - there's good material there and you get your money's worth. For an academic degree though, I'd look for a regionally accredited college with a good reputation.

note: regional accreditation is higher than national accreditation, particularly in this case.

Ashworth's reputation isn't the lowest among distance programs but they're not in the top half either. Consider all of your options before picking this one. Always pick the best school you can get into.

I just enrolled the other day and after searching and searching they are the only one that i found that wasnt that expensive. Plus they offer anyone financing and no interest, you cant beat that. I am going for the associates degree in Paralegal Studies. Before I enrolled a emailed a few local places that were hiring paralegals to see if they would except the degree since its nationally accredited not regionally, and all of them stated that they would accept it. As long as your not trying to transfer credits youll be fine. Good luck

I have heard from employers that they don't take a lot of online degrees seriously. I would be cautious. Make sure you find the right online school to be taken seriously.
