I live in an NL city and hate the Yankees, so I've been rooting for the Red Sox from afar. Never really had an opinion of Manny until this series.

There was him admiring a home run that made it 7-3 Cleveland like he'd just hit the Series winner. Barry "my balls are small from roids" Bonds didn't admire his record breaking HR that long.

Then the "who cares if we lose" speech.

Tonight, he hits the longest single in major league history (while the HUGE David Ortiz is hustling his massive butt off) and the absolutely pathetic play at the plate where he just slows down instead of sliding.

I really didn't care who won this series when it started, but I'm all in for the Indians now. Afraid Boston has the edge even though they're still down a game, but I can always hope.

I remember how thrilled I was the day that the Red Sox signed him in the Fall of 2000. He generally does not disappoint at the plate. He can be inconsistent as a fielder. He has an above average arm, which people including opposing runners sometimes forget. He is an absolute fright on the base paths. Not one, but two, bonehead baserunning stunts tonight. On the other hand, he had several dramatic home runs against the Angels and may well figure in the sixth and (hopefully) seventh games against Cleveland. All you can do is shrug and say it's Manny being Manny.

some human beings hate him because of the fact, he deifnitely could be a jerk particularly situations and a few human beings interior the media like Dan Shaugnessy have been constantly asserting detrimental stuff approximately him. yet you're ideal i don't think of the Sox win something in '04 or '07 with out Manny so Sox followers who rather hate him are being variety of stupid.

i am starting to lose some of my respectfulness i have for boston (not that i had a lot in the first place... sorry not part of rsn)
i mean i think i've seen some of the players' true colors
i'm not saying that all of them have bad personalities or anything but you should at least respect those around you.. i.e. h.r. antics.. hmmm. but they're good i guess they can do whatever they want ... but still !!
josh beckett today with kenny lofton.. what was that?? completely unecessary

as for manny.. i'm sure that was really light-hearted. it just looks bad on paper :)

Manny Ramirez is a thug wanna-be. He doesn't belong in baseball because baseball has no time for worthless pieces of crap like him. He is supposed to be a professional, but he is acting more like a spoiled child. I hope Boston gets their butts whupped in their own park on saturday. If that happens, I as a Yankees fan will celebrate and buy a round of drinks for all of my Boston-hating friends. I will also give crying towels to any Boston fans that happen to be present.

Manny is one of the best hitters in the last couple of decades...so he might have a big ego, but he got a big bat... and thats all that matters...

If one of my players pulled a stunt, like he did, on that ball off the top of the wall, he would have been pulled for a pinch runner and sent on the next plane to Boston. I don't care if I'm down 3-1 and he's hitting 1.000 - you don't walk to first on a hit like that!

You let the umpires decide homerun or not. Don't you dare tank one on me and your teammates!
