THAT is why I like land around me .. a minimum of at LEAST an Acre ... and a Back Patio with Shades that can be raised/lowered ... which I do!

Hillbilly's actually right... I don't have a huge yard, but there's a good sized area where the hubby and I created a Private spot with arborvites and pretty plants that "weep".
We just go about our business while being sociable ~and when we want privacy, we just go back there..... No Problem............

I used to have that when we lived in Navy housing. Man it sucked sooooo bad. Now I have a lovely wooden fence that is much more private.
