You can take a pregnancy blood test anytime you want--30 seconds after intercourse if you desire. (And if you have someone standing by to draw blood.) If you wish it to reliably predict whether or not you are pregnant, you should wait one week after your missed period.

I believe it is 10 days after conception, at the earliest. So assuming you conceive during the time of intercourse you are talking about, give it 10 days after that and you should get a positive result. A urine test is 14 days after conception. And no, it's not the next day or 5 days. It takes somewhere between 4-9 days to actually "become" pregnant.

The pregnancy blood test is very sensitive and would show hcg (human chorionic gondotropin) very early after fertilization of the egg. It can take a couple of days for fertilization to happen and then another day or two to make enough hcg to see chemically. Five days would be safe enough to see the effect.
That said, most doctors will not prescribe one that early. They will make you wait at least until you were supposed to get your period.

blood test at the drs I think is suppose to be 2 weeks but I had one taken when i was 3 days late with my first and i had a exploratory surgery planed 4 the next day for tummy pain and it said I wasn't but a week later the at home test said I was I ended up losing that baby do to the surgery at 12 weeks .Id just wait until 1 week after your period be careful start taking prenatal vitamins if your trying and if you start throwing up its a good sign .best of luck
