I've been on my period for three months. yes. 12 weeks. and my parents won't take me to the doctor's, and I don't know where my health card is. I'm only 17. I am affraid i am anemic because of all the blood loss.... I don't know what to do because my parents won't take me to get looked at. I don't know why. pride maybe. what should i do? I don't have anything like my health insurance provider card. I can't even drive yet! (i will in a couple weeks) but for now I'm still on my period and i know its not normal. I went in once before when this happened, but it was only 7 weeks and the doctor said it was stress....... but this time its 12. I thought it would have been done by now....

Go to the school nurse tomorrow and tell her what is going on. Have her call your parents and tell them they need to take you to the doctor. Do not be embarassed to tell all of this to the school nurse as this is just part of her job. She can call your parents at work and tell them they need to take you to the doc. If not call the docs office and ask to speak to his nurse and tell her what is going on and she will talk to the doc and he will call you back with what he wants you to do.

I wouldn't worry about being anemic though, that's an entirely different thing. If you're thinking your anemic check for signs of: fatigue, weakness, tired a lot, bruising easily, etc. What you are probably having is an "irregular period". Some women aren't as scheduled as others even at the age of 17. Stress could very well explanation for the skipped period. Make sure to keep track of your period dates and if it doesn't start back up again by the 4 er 5 month, maybe see a doctor. I don't think you are sexually active, but i don't know you lol That could be a reason too, but if you were, i think you would have said so in your question. I wish you luck Hun <3 But i wouldnt worry too much.

You should go the the ER immediately. They will not be able to refuse you treatment. You should also notify them that your parents will not bring you to be checked. My father did this to me as a child. He never brought me to be seen no matter how sick I was even though WE HAD insurance. Your parents could get forced to allow you to be treated. You rea din the papers all the time that kids not being taken to the DR get their parents in trouble eventually. It's usually christian scientitis but you do read about it. So, you have every right to be seen.

As far as the anemic part goes, unfortunalte I have a lot of experience with this too because I was anemic since I was 5 years old off and on and had ot take prescription medicine as a child.

You should get the highest does of iron pill you can from the pharmacy and take it ONCE per day. Do not overdo it. Make sure you take it 2 hours before and after you consume any milk/calcium products. Iron absorption is blocked by calcium. So do not eat yogurt, milk, cheese, or take a calcium supplement 2 hours before or after your pill. To help absorption take it with vitimin C either pills or fresh fruit like oranges, strawberries, etc.

When you have red blood cell anemia you will not notice a difference in how you feel at first takign iron because it takes your body a few days to make the red blood cells with the iron you are now taking in. Give it a few days so you will stop feeling tired. You may also have dark circles under your eyes and bruise easily, etc. You can look up othe anemia symptoms on line.

you need to seek medical help now! if your parents will not take you then ask a trusted teacher, clergy, friend or even the parents of one of your friends. I don't care what reason your parents give, they can be arrested for child endangerment, neglect, and abuse, because they are refusing you medical care. I know you probably don't want to get them in trouble so ask the people I mentioned before and I am sure that someone will take you to the docs. It does not matter your ability to pay, you are still a minor and the hospital and doctor will bill your parents or the state or who ever. but you must get to a doctor or clinic. Good luck!

My recommendation is to comply with your center. If you and your husband wish an extra little one and for those who wish Draven to have slightly brother or sister, then you definately must opt for it. Dont fear approximately the cash problems, you are going to discover some way. Your youngsters will likely be humble and they'll be glad. If you're involved approximately immoderate weight obtain (and it potentially affecting your youngster) then I might make a dedication to stroll each unmarried day for the period of your being pregnant. Some days simply stroll as soon as across the block, a few days opt for a pair miles and particularly determine, however simply hold it relocating. If you decide to do it for your self and in your youngster you cant cross mistaken and you are going to each be more healthy considering that of it. I walked during my being pregnant and it helped me to stick have compatibility. In regard to the c-phase I might say you must most likely no longer fear approximately it. We reside in an age of powerful technological know-how and medication. They participate in c-sections on females who've beforehand had them by means of the cost of 1000's in keeping with day around the globe. You will likely be simply high-quality! I am so extraordinarily sorry to listen to approximately your little angel. I are not able to start to know the way that need to consider. But if the medical professionals informed you that it was once no longer genetic, and also you do have a lovely healthful youngster, then I might consider that you've got each unmarried purpose to think that might NOT occur once more. Another youngster maybe the cure that you wish to have. That is anything best you and your husband can seek your hearts to make a decision. If all of those causes are particularly weighing on you and you're particularly terrified of the worst... then might be you could keep in mind adoption? Just a concept. I understand it's pricey however there are plenty of aid techniques for persons who do take at the responsiblity of an extra little one and it could no longer be so dangerous in spite of everything (while in comparison to little one start / wellness coverage expenditures). Whatever you make a decision, I desire that you just and your loved ones discover peace. Best desires to you in your travel and my sincerest regards.

I can't imagine that your parents would be so neglectful...are you sure they understand that you have been bleeding for THREE MONTHS????? Well...I guess you have no other option but to take the situation into your own hands and go to a clinic...tell your parents that if they don't take you...you will find your own way to get medical attention....you are old enough to be responsible for your own body and its health...get going on it! Be sure to take some iron as mentioned above...

If you really are 17 you are old enough to go to the doctor by yourself. And if you really have been bleeding for 12 weeks, then you are not very smart by not going. I would take iron supplements or eat eggs (high in iron) and SEE THE DOC! It is not your parent's responsibility, it's yours!

You NEED to be seen.

You should somehow find your health card, or even a free clinic, and get some medical care.
