This is similar logic to the so-called 'Fermi Paradox' which basically asks the question "If there are advanced civilisations elsewhere in the universe, where are they?" Of course, the whole paradox requires one to assume that there is no evidence of alien craft visiting Earth. As a confirmed UFO buff, I would have to say that this is flawed logic as there IS evidence.

Similarly, Earth is a very big place, relatively speaking. There could be time travellers out there and you would never know about it. I'm sure that travelling backwards in time will be very difficult to achieve, if indeed it is possible at all, so I don't think it's realistic to expect "time tourists" to be seen all over the world. I can imagine that anyone smart enough to devise a time machine would be more than aware of the dangers of interfering with past events, so they would avoid contact with people as much as possible.

For all the people saying backwards time travel is impossible, I recommend reading the latest edition of 'New Scientist' or try googling "hypertime".

Open your minds, people.

Considering what we're doing to our selves and our planet, there is nobody left to travel in time. The human race could be wiped out in 100 years, but with another 50 years, maybe we would have found a way to time travel. Who knows what the future will hold, and it can make your brain ache trying to think about it.

BTW, If anyone spots a Type 40 TARDIS on Ebay, let me know, I appear to have misplaced mine ;)

Time travel is not possible. If we could find a way to go FTL (faster than light) perhaps we could time travel. At least the people traveling that fast would not age while the rest of the world did.

permit me answer this for you. it relatively is all approximately decision. Time return and forth sooner or later is administered via Stagecoach. it relatively is absurdly costly, the provider is unreliable, previous due and the employees are rude and unhelpful. for this reason, time return and forth is constrained to very short 'mandatory' journeys (like going lower back for in simple terms some days to collect issues that have been forgotten). regrettably, going lower back to 2007 isn't a adventure that any it is straightforward to be bothered to make.

Stephen Hawking said if time travel was possible, we would already be flooded with historians from the future. I don't think time travel is any more possible than you can make 2 + 2 = 5. Time represents change, so the idea that change can go backwards is nonsensical.

There have been claims... Just that most people think that the people that say that they have met a time traveler are wackos.... Time travel is not possible

As you can see from your answers, time travel is NOT possible so there is no answer to your question. You may wish to google time dilation although this would show that time is relative, it is the only thing which would resemble time travel. Other hypotheses regarding time travel (black holes and worm holes) are only fictional.

I think I'm with Maranda on this : )

And I assume that you're not suggesting that it is possible, but saying that it isn't possible because we haven't met anyone doing it.

Simple: the time traveler goes back once more and warns himself, or herself, not to talk to the loose lip that was blabbing about meeting him or her.
