Sylvia Brown Physic Question?

Question

I watch Montel all the time, and when Sylvia Brown is on the show, she always has answers for everybody. My question is: If she really has all these powers, why isent she out there/on the news telling us/the public where all these missing children are, like that Madeline little girl, or solving crimes of who murdered who instead of telling people/answering them who they are going to marry!

I'm not saying that she is fake or nething, I'm just asking for your opinion in what you think.

Also...... IF YOU could ask Sylvia Brown one question, what would you ask her & Why?

Hmmm... good question.

I guess most people would say that she isn't using her powers to find missing children because she is a fraud.

Personally, I'm open to believing that psychics might be real. I imagine that having powers like that must be incredibly stressful if you don't control it cos you would just have millions of voices and images going through your head randomly all day long. Also, even though Sylvia Browne is famous, psychics still get a pretty bad rap from cops and detectives. Also, different psychics tune into different things. Some see and talk to the dead, some have prophetic visions, etc. Sylvia Browne seems to have the ability to contact the deceased, especially when she is in the same room as one of the living family members. So that's pretty limited, and I don't know how much it would help in finding someone - she would just be able to tell Madeleine's parents that she loves them and misses them very much.

As for my question for Sylvia Browne...

Did my grandfather know about me before he died, and does he know about me now? Does he love me?

And here's my why...

My grandpa was unfortunately an alcoholic. My grandma left him cos she wasn't really the 'ill help you through this' type. They had 3 kids together, one of whom is my dad. My grandma intentionally broke off contact from her husband, and she pretty much intimidated her kids into not talking to him either. I was his first granddaughter - he died of liver complications a few years after my birth. I don't even know if anyone told him he had a granddaughter. I never met him (actually, I never met either of my grandpa's, my other one died before I was born) and sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have a grandfather to go fishing with, etc. I wonder if he knows about me, and whether he loves me and is "grandfathering" me from whereever he is now.

Sappy, I know. But I guess most of our deepest feeling are pretty sappy ;-)

I personally don't believe in psychics and the like and sorry to offend anyone but I think they're just charlatans who try to take advantage of gullible people.

I like to watch Montel and his show with Sylvia Brown at the beginning of the year and write down the lies she says. Then I let the year go by and see how many of the specific things she says do happen. So far, nothing the most prominent in my memory right now is the one when at the end of 2001 she said that by October 2002 we would have captured Osama Bin Laden. Boy was she wrong!!! She also predicted the war to be over in 2004 and well we all know how that turned out. So in my opinion, she should stop making all this barnum statements that apply to everyone and also stop making false specific statements.

Oh, and please, please don't have her "help" the police a lot more innocent people might end up being hurt by her lies.

One question I would ask her is "why do you take advantage of people's vulnerable feelings?"

she does help people with missing children's cases. she does them for free actually. and her list of people she has to help is a mile long. she doesn't speak about it on the show but whenever i read about her she mentions it sometimes. If could ask her a question i would ask about my future and where i will be by the time i am in my mid twenties because i even though i am in college i am starting to feel really lost and am wondering why i'm here. And she is not fake. she does not tell people answers just to make them feel good. I've seen her tell people whether their sick loved ones were going to make it or not.

You hav eto remember that she is really aging now! She's OLD. She used to work with the police but she is just an elderly lady now and can't handle too much. She is just on montel for entertainment purposes now. She's got to be up in her 70's or 80's by now.
There are many psychics working with the law inforcement, though many wont admit to it as it would spoil the legality of the cases. A good example of this is shown on the TV program called "medium" based on real life Medium Allison Dubois. She works discretely with teh police to solve cases, but they cannot legally use psychics in court, and so they can't legally say anything about where they get their info. It's alot more complicated when it comes to how the law works, but psychics being secretly used by the governments is nothing new at all. Psychics were used back in the war times for remote viewing on the enemy.

It's not really a "power" It is just realizing we can have contact with out loved ones at any time.
Like a telephone.
Take a telephone back to the Ancient Greeks and they will think you had powers also..but truth is-There's more out there to doscover and understand.


There's nothing wrong with a medium only taking individual clients to help, as everyone has problems they feel they need help with-and for a psychic to tap into an energy ethically they should be getting someones permission. So it's difficult to read someone in the news they've never had contact with a family member before.

I don't think Sylvia Browne is fake, but I do feel she's gotten up in her years and no longer has the enthusiasm or the energy to deal with anything bigger than entertainment stuff.
Sylvia has attempted to work with the police once in a while but the public skeptics cause her distress from their immature and rude remarks when she;s not correct (They forget this isn't a power, it's about translating a spirit language correctly..energy translation isn't an easy task). It's no wonder she'd want to stay out serious things while people are waiting with their pitchforks at anything to attack.
There was that one news report where she said she thought a boy was deceased, she said the location and the man involved-and everything turned out to be wrong-he was alive-did you see that one? Most people didn't realize at the same time there was another boy missing, a totally different case in the same area-who matched her info-he was found dead. It's true that mixups can happen, especially when she looks like she should be retired and resting by now.

Most mediums do not get involved with the law work, as they aren't yet respected and being senitive they don't feel like being attacked by peoples ignorance.
You can't blame us for that. Most would just laugh at teh info, or if you were right they would wonder if you were involved in the crime. Tough situation to be in!

I prefer giving readings to individuals who seek me out. They are in just as much need as anyone who makes the news (and many don't who should).
It's difficult having this ability..very stressful and it can be draining-as people always want to be helped and some just want the entertainment (which I don't respect much).
I think Sylvia, is doing way to many readings for her age-and she may be slowing down a bit in her gift, but she is real.
It's just like anything people are good at-it starts to get harder with age.
so she does help police and people-

Now, people who feel she is obligated to always help people-are not being fair at all. YOU and everyone else also have the "power" and responsibility to help other people less fortunate-but is anyone forcing you too? Couldn't you feed the hungry? give away your internet and give the money to the needy?-Of course that would be silly, and of course we all do what we can to help-So never judge someone, as they probably do their best in their situation.
I wouldn't really ask her anything, I have contact with the otherside on my own :)

hopefuly im not tha only dude who watches montel but anyways i agree wit you! she should help tha more needy! helll, she could help police find murderers and rapists i dont know why she use her power for dumb sh1t like telling someone if theyll get a girl or man. but if i asked her one thing i would want to hear from my grampa and gramma. kuz i miss them :(

I also watch Sylvia Brown but just for entertanment. Sometimes she contradicts herself so i dont really beleive her... but there is always that "what if?"

I guess she really isn't that psychic in the first place. Like most ppl who claim psychic powers, she is just more in tune with ppl and has the ability to manipulate information.

I lovee her!! and she does help solve cases like that she's spoken about it before but i dont think shes allowed to speak mush about it in public...=s

i think of that's gloomy while human beings use one in each and every of those cutting-edge for inner maximum earnings. In my custom our medicine human beings and Elders grant their presents freely to all human beings that asks and in return we offer them something we ought to consistently share.
