No. They only want to play the blame game.

I believe the GOP has a lot to work on.

I would not blame it all on the GOP though, more of it on specific members and mostly President Bush. He is the one who has gotten this party in most of its trouble. Give it a few years and I think they will be back on track. It should be noted that the Democratic party has had its share of scandals recently, but the media does not give it the same amount of attention because the Democratic party has not made itself the "Moral Authority" and the GOP has.

I also think that some of the Republicans HAVE admitted their mistakes, which should be noted.

Also, I must address the comment abou the Clinton surplus. While I like Clinton, Clinton did not leave office with a surplus. What he did was put Social Security on the books, which techinally put the government in a suprlus. But what you have to remember (and why this hasn't been done in the past) is that SS is just a transfew payment, the government doesnt actually GET any of it. The Gov't acts as a middle man between the payer and the payee. But because the money was taken by the government, technically they could count it. While it wasn't "wrong", it was deceptive.

That's their path to victory. They lost in 2006 because they abandoned their core values, and the voters rejected them.

That doesn't mean the Dems won. They offered nothing except being anti-war and anti-Bush.

Whichever party and candidate offer good ideas and trustworthiness will win in 2008.

And stop blaming Clinton. He's been out of office now for almost 7 years. You want to blame him for the recession that started just as he was leaving office, fine. You want to blame him in part for 9/11, fine. But don't blame him for much after that.

Hatchlings do not admit mistakes. They are diligently working to get AntiRonnieGod elected in order to blame him and prepare the way for the 2nd Coming of RonnieGod.

Of course they won't admit it, but the democrats never admit their mistakes either. That's politics.

Screwed up what? If you're talking about spending, you're right. The elected republican officials let everyone down by not cutting spending.

And what were the democrats doing while all this was going on? What exactly did they do to offset these 'screwups'?

In my view Republicans are the only people who admit anything and take responsibility. Try to get a liberal Democrat to do it.
