so multiply 5,880,000,000,000 by 11.0 which equals: 64,680,000,000,000, which, written in scientific notation is:
6.468 x 10^13

One thing about scientific notation is you can use it and still do the math

lets first change your big number to scientific notation

5.88 * 10^12
times the 11 light years which is 64.68 * 10^12
renew the scientific notation 6.47 * 10^13 miles
